Health Benefits of Unicycling

Riding the unicycle awards great health and fitness benefits, including balance, muscular toning and cardiovascular exercise. Unicycling can assist in weight loss, muscle strength and toning, inner balance and harmony, body stability and stress relief. Riding the unicycle can improve concentration and motor coordination, and will also teach personal discipline and perserverence.

It is a fantastic workout, building overall stamina and will improve your balance and coordination. Best of all, individuals of all ages can participate and derive the overall benefits. Dr. Gerard and Adam Cohen offer professional lectures and demonstrations in unicycling to small and large groups, and to organizations and executives to assist in exercise and stress alleviation.

Medical Ventriloquism

Dr. Gerard has utilized ventriloquist figures to teach medicine over many years, and recently incorporated marionette figures. They are used to teach individuals of any age about any medical condition, and can explain procedures in a way that anyone can understand. Dr. Gerard has 10 different original figures that can be utilized to accommodate different audiences.

It is now being recognized that there are better ways to learn than through the traditional methods. Institutions are beginning to show an increased awareness of the importance of the way individuals learn. Many of the standard methods utilized to convey knowledge have been shown to be relatively ineffective in an individuals ability to retain important concepts.

Nuclear Medicine Board Reviews

Dr. Gerard has been involved in the teaching of nuclear medicine for the past 30 years. He has a series of lectures for all topics in nuclear medicine as well as hundreds of cases for nuclear medicine board review. The residents he teaches have a very high pass rate on the nuclear section of the radiology boards (see the testimonial section for details). His former “Hot Seat” Board Review has been revamped and adapted for the “New” American Board of Radiology (ABR) Qualifying Core Examination (see “Tackle The Core” Board Review page for details). He offers personalized board review sessions to help teach nuclear medicine concepts with easy to understand teaching methods.
